THE ROLE PLAY RULES Empty
PostSubject: THE ROLE PLAY RULES   THE ROLE PLAY RULES Icon_minitimeTue Feb 24, 2009 4:21 pm

1 - This is a Role Play Guild. That means that Role Playing should be the main focus of your dialogues. Chatting as players may happen and is good socially speaking, but the people of this guild want to get away from it as much as they can. They want an experience of immersion that they did not find in any other guild. So Real Life talk is to be avoided 99% of the time.

2 - This is not YOUR Role Play Guild. We have a Guild Background story. The development of your character background has to be in tune with our own setting. Moreover the guildmaster is taking care of the scenarios with his Clergy members to help play some roles and provide good ideas. You are free to bring in mini-plots, but you are not the center of attention here. Your mini-plots shall neither take over the main plot, nor add to our lore some elements from other worlds or dimensions of your own fantasy. We shall all work to keep in tune with our common lore, which is Arthurian. And that leads me to the third point:

3 - This is A Role Play Guild, but not ANY Role Play Guild. It has been made for lovers of Arthuriana, Medieval Chivalry and History. Your characters' names should fit that identity. As a reproduction of the Chivalric Feudal system, Respect, Humility and Devotion are the most respected values. King Arthur is the King, not your ale buddy. A sense of realism has to be kept here... But beyond characters, also a sense of respect to the players. Those who have reached the ranks of Knights, Clergy, or Nobles should also be respected as players, for they have taken the time to learn our ways and they do take some of their time to teach them every day. They have shown qualities as leaders and should be respected as such.

4 - Insults, dubious sense of humour, easy mockery, lack of understanding, and selfish behavior is thus condemned in this guild, for beyond the boundaries of your own private behavior, it reflects on the Guild itself.
