"The world is a stage for the gods. Too sad it had not been a stage for kings until this day."
-The Wise Words of Merlin (Chapter 11, line 87)
The Playwright has the task to come up with some ideas for plays and performances once in a while for the community. He/she proposes his ideas to the King, and once a subject is approved, is 100% free into working with selected actors in order to make what he/she believes is a good performance.
The Playwright has complete freedom in organizing auditions and finding potent actors.
Language usage can differ, and it is up to the Playwright to make his/her choice.
The show is a private show. It is thus encouraged that it happens in the Hall, though the Playwright still has the final choice at hand.
Rehearsals can be made in the Hall as well, especially using a joust scrimmage, unless people wish to joust (for jousting is the primary use of a scrimmage), in which case they shall have to find another place to rehearse for the day. Of course, arrangements can be made in advance and the Hall scrimmage can be 'on reserve' for rehearsing purposes.
A fee from the audience for watching will be asked, so that they can buy new costumes and dyes for new characters. These people will spend a lot of time for our pleasure so they deserve it.
Most stories will be in the format of classic Tragedies, Comedies, and Romances, and last around 30 minutes because we all know it wouldnt be that much fun to do that for 2 hours. You can write about tales of Camelot, Classical mythological stories, or else.
