Sir / Damsel (5th rank) Empty

‘Behold!!! Let it be heard… Those who have passed the test only begin their journey in the Order!!! They may be dependent on a Lord but at the same time, they are self-reliant, for they now have to make a choice. Though they have now to honor the arms and armature of their Lord’s standard, they do not belong to the snake pit the Court can be… yet…’ (The Wise Words of Merlin, Chapter 5; line 52)

Congratulations! You have now reached the status of Sir / Damsel, which means the very beginning threshold of a world of higher ranks. It is the most premier rank of respect. Here is what we expect of you:

- As a "strong member", you now have the duty to report any annoying, not to mention disgraceful, behavior from any Member (and even from any Officer! They are not beyond reproach) to the Guild Master if such is the case. We are all here to be respectful.

- As a "strong member", you now have the opportunity to vote in the High Counsel.

- You have between 3 to 7 days to choose your path. Ask people of different paths for advice, counsel, and make up your mind.

If you feel that your Martial abilities are strongly tactical and that the best way you can serve the guild is by fighting and teaching others how to properly fight, then you have to follow the path of Chivalry, in which case you remain a Member and try to rise to the status of General.

If you feel like your spiritual abilities are the most accurate, that you are a philosopher, an intellectual, but also that you wish to privilege the social aspects of the Order and the Role Playing experience, then you have to follow the path of Clergy, in which case you remain a Member and try to rise to the status of Saint.

Finally, for some rare few, if you feel that your Administrative skills are accurate, that you can manage, organize, take decisions quickly, judge people easily and rarely be wrong. If you are connected every day. If you know this forum by heart and fully agree with the system. If you wish to see the law be respected and supervise the hive, then the path of Nobility is for you, in which case you become an Officer and try to rise to the status of Duke / Duchess.

Now in any other Guild, being an Officer = being the best. This is not the case in this guild. Yes, Officers are granted powers of administration and management (after all the game was made so that they can invite and recruit new members). But they can very well suck in combat tactics or in social skills and culture, which would be the strength of the two other paths. Officers will be recruited because they know how to seriously lead and have a strong sense of organization. They're often online, very active, know everybody on the tip of their fingers, etc... It's exhausting (and I know what I'm talking about).

In any case, you all have to answer to the King.

As a Sir / Damsel, you can now display the Guild’s cape. This is a privilege reserved you have earned until you decide of a path - then maybe it will change. You can also wear your normal armor in Camelot now, and not your student outfit any more. However, when addressing to your Tutors, a Noble, The King or the Grandmaster, you still have to hide whatever type of armor it is you have on your head or face. That's basic courtesy.
