| Subject: The King's Bard Tue Mar 03, 2009 2:23 pm | |
| "In Ancient Celtic tribes, the bard was actually part of the Clergy. The bard was a being considered in communion with the Gods and the spirits. That is what we call today 'inspiration'. The bard's muse is supposed to be the spirits or the Gods. A bard was a master poet and composer, a speechcraft genius."
- Merlin1 - The King's bard is the one whose stylistics, poetry and style are considered best in the guild to write and record the King's official speeches during meetings or announcements, some aesthetic articles, and sometimes the historical records of the guild. 2 - Talent is not all. Time is necessary to be the King's bard. It is a little work, but the King cannot do all the job himself. After a poetry contest or a a joust of speechcraft we will decide of our official Bard. Or he/she is simply chosen by the King. 3 - The Bard can expect having special activities commended by the King in the future that can be very interesting in terms of role play and responsibility. So try your best. 4 - For celebrations, wedding, official events and else, the Bard is often asked to speak or to recite a poem. For Holy matters, his words are said to put even the gods at ease... | |
