[justify]Your martial talents, the many praises of your tutors and friends, or your sense of on-field analysis has lead you to choose this path.

This path consists of 5 new ranks:

- Knight / Dame Lieutenant
- Knight / Dame Commander
- Knight / Dame Grand Commander
- Knight / Dame Marshal (of the Round Table)
- Knight / Dame General (of the Round Table > King's Private Guard)

You begin your Chivalric career as a Lieutenant, and you have so far three important things to keep in mind:

1 - Choose a Lord / Lady from the Nobility you will depend to.

2 - Choose a Knight Master among Kan and Raine who is going to be the mentor you depend on..

3 - Choose a favorite attack style, a favorite weapon, or a favorite skill family. That does not mean that you won't use the rest of your skills or weapons; it means that you will be renowned soon as a specialist of this field.

> Let the Guild master know of these three choices.

After you have done that, here is what we expect you to do and understand:

- This is a path for those who know how to make war, not just to brawl. Your role is to be an analyst of on-field situations: Who to strike first? Who to send first? Pull or rush? What skills to use in what order? Against who? When to fight, and when to retreat? You are to lead numbers cleverly, not take risks. You are a tactician now. The very best of you will be able to train and lead our troops so that they rarely fall, thus assuring us a low death penalty, not to say a high morale boost. Leading is not rushing alone but taking a full team by the hand and showing them the way.

- You are expected to be a tutor of martial codes and tactics. You will be given students, and according to their rank, you will have to teach them and test them thereafter. Be careful, do not rush the apprenticeship and make sure every step has meticulously covered before you claim they are ready to rise in ranks. Also, if you feel that the tutee is not good enough, or does not learn correctly, inform the Master or the King. We do not want members who are a nuisance for the system. Finally, when you assign forum readings to your tutees, do not force them to read straight away. Ask them for a deadline according to their own schedule and meet one or a couple of days later, by appointment, after reading is done, in order to begin the training properly. Your tutees will have to be trained and tested as followed:

Page: The compass codes... Send them to learn them themselves on the forum (under Martial Tactics) Review it with them face to face. When you are a 100% that they know them by heart, your next step will be to test them on the field a few times. Also, they are pages, messengers, so... If you want to play Role Play a bit, you should assign them with specific messages or items that they should bring to any noble or master. This is the perfect way for them to get in touch with other people of the guild and it forces socialization a bit for those who are a tad shy. It is also a very good way to judge their commitment in doing a task for the guild. Finally, make sure the recruit is humble and wants to learn without playing too much the "smart ass I know everything already" behavior. We do not want these people in a guild of knights. After you have assigned them a few messages to deliver and have been out on the field a few times with them, notify the King, Master, or a Noble that your recruit is ready.

Squire: Jousting... You will have first to send them read the Jousting Rules on the forum (Codes and Rules section). Make sure you know them well yourself first. You are here to lead by example. Then you will have to teach your tutee how to joust properly according to these rules in a one-on-one PvP joust, but also in a group PvP joust. These are two drastically different ways of jousting. Because the jousting field is the Hall, it is also time for you to give you tutee a complete Tour of our Hall, explaining the key spots and social areas. After you have made sure your tutee knows how to joust properly and has made different types of fights successfully knowing our ways, notify the King, Master, or a Noble that your recruit is ready.

Armiger: Martial tactics... First assign them the readings under Martial Tactics entitled "Fighting in a team" (make sure you know it yourself), and the article that corresponds to his/her first profession. Your Armiger tutees have to be taught strategy on the field. Every strategic aspect of combat has to be taught and overviewed (pulling, killing the right monsters first, retreating, etc...). So it clearly involves that you and your tutee go on some expeditions together. You can also train him/her as a side-kick, as defined under THE COMPASS CODES. Do a few missions and a few quests and make sure your tutee becomes a good asset to team fighting. This part of his/her training is the most important, so do not underestimate it. You are in charge of the future swords of the army of Camelot. Try to bring him/her to tricky areas but try also to help him/her in quests and missions he/she has to complete. Your tutee will have to be given proper and nice weapons. Ask the Guildmaster to provide them to your tutee as a gift for his/her progress. Also, at this stage of the tutee's career, you will have to make sure he/she knows how to rune an armor. Take some time to explain rune traders, the importance of insignias and head gear shifting. (that means that you have to have an idea of some other professions runes...) and let them know of some good skill combos (which means that you have to have an idea of other professions skills...). It can also be good to teach your armiger tutee the subtleties of Martial salutes. Since there is a lot to learn and to prove, Armiger is the one Rank most of your tutees will keep the longest. Once you think they are finally ready, notify the King, Master, or a Noble.

"Bachelor / Bachelorette:" Reviewing... Prepare them for the Holy Test. As a ultimate test, it is your duty to find a strategic area of your choice, usually tough, to Test your tutee… In this ultimate test, you will test his/her ability to follow orders fast and accurately, and be organized on the field, to be effective in his/her first profession, and to apply tactics that you’ve taught him/her. Also, you can organize review sessions of forum articles with him/her in order to prepare him/her to the reality of the Holy Test that is to come. Usually, once they reach Bachelor / Bachelorette, the Holy Test is planned to be held a week or two thereafter. Make sure they are ready.

Unless you are a Knight marshal and have been dubbed Knight of the Round Table, the wearing of the cape is prohibited to you in the Main Hall. Remember that the Main Hall is the Court of Nobility. It is your duty to display the cape in towns and cities. We need people to recognize our cape. However, when you are outside cities and outposts, you are free to take it off, especially if you feel it does not really match the colors of your armor, or you are free to keep it, if you like the look it has on you.[/justify
