| "For the Noble Lords who surrounded him and who all believed that they were the best - one would have had a lot of trouble designating the worst - Arthur made the Round Table, this table on which the Britons relate so many fables. There, the noble Lords would take place, in perfect equality. They were seated around the Round Table in the most perfect equality, and it is in the most perfect equality that they were served. Not one of them could claim to be better situated than his peer: all were seated on seats of honor, none was put on the side."
- Wace, Novel of Brut, (1155), free translation from the Old Norman
Yes.... You heard correctly.... 'Noble Lords'. As a Knight General, you are granted the powers of Nobility, or at least the first rank of Nobility. Here is what is expected of you:
- Go read the articles 'the path of Nobility' and 'Lord / Lady' in order to know more about your new powers.
- You have become a leader of leaders. Part of your new duties is to be a 'professional trainer' for other Knights. You are a source of constant tactics for other Knights, from Lieutenant to Marshal. Any combo you know, strategy you find, information about a monster, 'monster build' you have experienced could help the Guild, through other leaders. Teach them.
- Your role is to keep track of the efficiency of other Knights. Once in a month, you will have to set an appointment with them and test them on the field as they lead. Teach them new things or correct some of their mistakes. They need to stay on top of their skills and you are here to insure that. Now if your role is to teach and keep Knight leaders in good shape and a good strategic mind, what does it make you? ... Simply the highest Martial influence ever in the Guild. Future tactics will be experienced by you, tested by you, applied or rejected by you. Your expertise in the arts of war will shape the future 'martial tactics' articles posted on our forum. Your role has never been as demanding, but what you have to offer has never been much needed. Just like with Clerics and Nobles, make sure they get better with time and report your results to the King.
- Finally, as the Elite of the King's knights, you shall now display either a full plated White Armor, or include some partial White on you, this is a mark of your Rank. You are a respected White Knight. | |
